The sands of Bongoyo Island, off the coast from Dar es Salaam, are the whitest, most powdery I have ever had the pleasure of walking through.
Rio. We took a 20 hour bus from Asuncion to get there. There was a mechanical problem in Sao Paolo. But it was so worth it. We stayed with our great friend Alejandrina. It was a good week and Rosa still talks about the paella we had. Where are the rest of my Rio pictures? Where is the airship landing field?
There is this bluff … if you can call it that … overlooking the ocean. One of the trails at Torrey Pines leads down to it. People seem strangely attracted to it, but there is really nothing there except the other people who have been drawn to the way it juts out into the sea a little, and how you have to climb up on it to be there…
